About Us
About digi:redo
digi:redo is a team of volunteers, based in North East Lincolnshire, who take used and unwanted computers from people and companies and turn them into something beautiful. We then put some programmes on them and sell them to people who can’t really afford computers.
Mission Statement
To promote the reuse and refurbishment of digital technologies whilst providing computers, training and employment opportunities for members of the digi:redo and wider communities.
What we do
digi:redo is a not-for-profit community organisation focused on recycling and refurbishing used digital technology, We provide computer, training, and job skills experience to volunteers in exchange for their service.
Volunteers
Volunteers will be the driving force of the programme. digi:redo believes in learning whilst doing. Volunteers have two programmes to choose from, both encouraging the volunteers to learn about hardware, troubleshooting skills and software. No computer experience is needed to become a digi:redo volunteer.
Training
All training is done ‘in-house’ by the Training Coordinator or a Volunteer Mentor. As well as learning the hardware and software aspects of computing, training is also offered in how to make the software work for the user in job searching, digital photography and most aspects of digital technology in everyday life.digi:redo is a team of volunteers who take used and unwanted computers from people and companies and turn them into something beautiful.
